2006 American Platinum Eagles

The 1-ounce American Platinum Eagle has a diameter of 32.7mm, a thickness of 2.39mm, containing one troy ounce of fine .9995 pure platinum. The coin has a face value of $100, which is the highest face value of any United States coin ever produced. Each 1/2-ounce American Platinum Eagle has a diameter of 27mm, a thickness of 1.75mm, contains a half-ounce of fine platinum, with a $50 face value. The 1/4-ounce platinum coin has a diameter of 22mm, a thickness of 1.32mm, containing a quarter-ounce of pure platinum, with a face value of $25. The 1/10-ounce platinum coin has a diameter of 16.5mm, a thickness of .95mm, and contains a tenth-ounce of pure platinum with a $10 face value.
